Post by thumperclone on 07/06/06 at 22:50:52

went for a lil scoot this evening "suzi" was at her best
no radicial between shift pops no de cell bursts ....
dyno jet largest main, needle valve clip full up, k&n drop in,  no snorkel,
irad plug ,sporster muff w/ 2  3/16(i think) holes in baffel plate(lrg hrd krome in transit)...elev 4300 ft a.s.l. humidity 40%(high for here) ...
during the day shes a beast 95F or more hum usually below 10%(upper desert) thinkin a fuel injection system would be the ultimate...went up to the mesa(10k elev)
fishin on monday she did great up there lil ( not bad but noticable)under power and higher fuel consumption..
guess its all a matter of trade offs....still love her  8)

sounds like a great day, bike riding and fishing! :o been up to grand mesa with the vws, in july there was snow in the shade of the trees ??? still got family in collbran and montrose, our family has been in that area (cedaredge, delta, etc) since the 1880's, had some on the wrong side of the sheep/cattle wars for awhile. dad's vw ran 250*f mine ran 220*f, both a bit warmer than usual, presumably because there is no air to dissipate the heat into  :-/ at least that is what us flatlanders like to believe ;)
