Title: Seat mod?
Post by Veritas on 06/23/06 at 14:16:16

So yeah, I've taken my seat apart and such.  It is different on the S40!   ???  I put bigger rubber spacers and longer bolts, but I'm noticing the seat doesnt bolt in the front.  A little metal clip slides under the bracket at the back of the gas tank.  So, putting the extra space did nothing but make the front of my seat a bit loose because the metal clip didn't fit all that snug underneath the bracket.  Any idea how to do the seat mod on a S40?

I noticed on my 97' that the #4 rubber washers prevented the front seat mount from going full forward, so I cut 2 bits of 1/2 plastic plumbing tubing and used that.  Mine is 1 3/4" raised, very comfortable.
