looks like a 12" shorty from jc whitney..#cag028538
i have one it has removable glas packed baffel..
yes its LOUD!! couldnt get the deceleration backfires under controll..i jb welded a quarter in the center of the baffel that just blu all the glas to the back half of the muff. next time i put it on ill remove the glas and just use the quarter...one good thing, they're not expensive $22.99 plus shipping..
i like the sportster muff the best so far.. still  tweakin tho.

I had a friend with that muffler as well and he didn't like it.  Don't remember his reasoning, but then again, I don't think anybody understood his reasoning about anything!  I have the Sportster muffler as well and it gives a great, deep sound that's not too loud and not too quiet.

I guess the idea is to run the biggest "can" you can stand to look at. If you want reasonable sound db's AND low restriction, you're looking at a large muffler. What's funny is that no one has posted a sound byte of the stock Sporty muffler yet. I would love to hear one of those. I cheaped out and bought a "gently abused" Screamin' Eagle "Bagger" pipe. Still haven't wrenched it on yet.

GREAT idea!!   I have a stock sporty... maybe I'll do that for you guys later today.  Just hope everyone has decent speakers or you'll miss a bunch of the deep sound  :-/

THX!
That would be slick. We all know about the stock muffler, (putt, putt, putt) - and I really don't want a loud pipe, but a little bass to show off the Thumperism of a LS650 would be nice. And if it breathes better, Heck-Yeah!
I have a Honda 185  ATC with more bass than the stocker.
