Title: Clutch Post by savage2003 on 06/15/06 at 08:42:52 Well my savage broke down on the way to work this morning.  The problem is the clutch lever going into the crankcase broke loose inside and now just has free-play. Unable to use the clutch.  Any suggestion on what might be the problem inside the crankcase ???   Ken

Title: Re: Clutch Post by Kropatchek on 06/16/06 at 01:27:09 Theres a little crank,#24 that pushes the pin, #23 of the clutch. Crank is fitted to the shaft by two flats. A cotterpin #29 prevents the shaft comming out the engine, this could have dropped out, check by pulling on the outside crank. http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/300_0039/clutch/clutch.cfm?man=su&groupid=7160&parent=7080 Suggest to have a look inside to see the damage.
