Title: The Green Bobber Post by russ_g on 04/06/06 at 18:36:41 Has anyone seen this? This is beautiful. I wish the Savage/S40 was a little more (a very little more) mainstream so there were more kits/mods/accessories available. http://www.scootworks.net/greenbobber/bobber2.jpg http://www.scootworks.net/greenbobber/bobber1.jpg http://www.scootworks.net/greenbobber/bobber3.jpg Someone scanned the full article and put it here. There are more pics there as well. http://www.riffraffcustoms.com/pdfs/scan-aft-customs.pdf |
Title: Re: The Green Bobber Post by savage455 on 04/06/06 at 19:03:11 you could easily make a savage look ike that for under $100 very easily... you would have to buy almost nothing... maybe a trip to a swap meet or a few to the hardware store |
Title: Re: The Green Bobber Post by Roadie on 04/07/06 at 02:48:06 You can skip the hand shifter. Bleck... Yeah not much there that hasn't been done with a Savage already. Looks like an expensive Arlen ness mirror and some other do dads out of J and P cycles catalog. VERY doable.. Go for it! ;D |
Title: Re: The Green Bobber Post by PerrydaSavage on 04/07/06 at 03:32:28 I have that magazine ... that's a beautiful job of Bobbing a standard Honda 750 ACE ... they even managed to make the radiator disappear :o!! For a Savage owner with the skills, tools, time and money, this look could likely be replicated without too much trouble ... nix the jockey shifter however, if ya want it to be more of a daily Rider! |
Title: Re: The Green Bobber Post by russ on 04/07/06 at 07:18:32 I agree on the shifter as well. Overall really like the bike though. I'm some what mechanically inclined but in no way have the skills to do this from scratch - pick a part kind of thing. I'm more of a "kit" type person. "here's everything you need including INSTRUCTIONS". |

Title: Re: The Green Bobber Post by vroom1776 on 04/07/06 at 19:43:16 It needs to loose the shocks. and the green footpegs. I bet the radiator under the seat is fun too. and what's up with the small rear pulley? |
