Yesterday was the perfect day to ride. Temp was about 65, bright sun everywhere, deep blue sky. I stopped off in a river town named Madison, Indiana for a photo-op for the Savage with the Ohio River as my backdrop. Thought I'd share it with you guys here...

Fuel mileage keeps improving. Average mileage for yesterdays run was 58 mpg. That included some interstate run as well as highway runs with a lot of twisties. Gotta say, I'm impressed!

The Kuryakyn grips proved to be a dream come true. I never experienced much vibration with the stock grips to begin with, but it is even less so now. My praise for those grips is in the larger diameter of the grip, as I have fairly large hands.

Yes, large grips are they key.
Many 'sports' grips are very thin, and one is forced to squeeze the grips (especially the throttle) until his hand(s) ache.
That takes all the pleasure of of riding.

I do not know what kind of grips I have, all I can say is they are steel, very hard and very fat, and I was not at all happy with them the first five minutes. Three days and 600 miles later I had changed my mind.
