Greetings Newguy..  I hate my stock mirrors !!  I would like to find something that looks the same but is 2 or 3  inches farther apart.. Im a big guy and have trouble seeing around myself !!  I have even put sportster bars on. That helped a little but not quit wide enough yet !!
 I know  I know................. go on a diet !!   ???

I've got tear drop mirrors from thunderbike on my V*1100, and 1 stock rectangular mirror on my savage (held on with duct tape).  Arlen ness makes the teardrops too, but with rectangular bar instead of round bar.

Stock.  They work.  I keep hearing horror stories about aftermarket mirrors vibrating so badly they're worthless, so I haven't even looked.  To be honest, the mirrors are kinda low on my budget priority list too.

I have a set of chrome billet slotted mirrors. I got them for Christmas. They were bought at JCWhitney. I think they are about $95.00 with shipping. My stock mirrors had a little vibration and so do the new ones.

stock, left side only.  it's the only violation on the machine.

Round mirrors on long stems, when I switched handle bars the stock mirrors weren't long enough. They vibrate a bit when above 55mph, plan to replace them one day when I have saved enough loose change.

I put some budget JC Whitney round ones on & they buzzed a lot. Saw some larger & heavier round ones at my dealer, Emigo 20-35210 & they hardly buzzed at all. But the stems were too short so I could only see my arms. Then went back to the JC cheapies but added Kuryakin ISO grips & it cut the buzzing a lot. The grips seem to have weights in the ends to cut vibes. Functionally, my stockers were best so far, I just wanted round ones.

I replaced the stockers with oval shaped cheapos from JC Whitney.  They actually looked pretty good but were difficult to get locked securely into position.  They tended to vibrate and had a small, flat surface area.  Decided safety was more important than vanity and went back to the stock mirrors.

LOL!  From this angle, the ox-eye turn signals look kinda interesting.

Savage has Arlen Ness Stealth 1 series from Drag Specialties. Junk.

Intruder has Emgo "universal" short stem Virago/V-Star teardrops. Not bad.

Vulcan has Emgo 20-26910, round head, long stem, low mount  black cheapies. I like 'em.

All 3 are basically useless. So were the stockers. I just glance back over my shoulder before switching lanes.

I've got round ones from a 1975 Honda CB500T. Dunno about buzzage—haven't ridden yet since the install.

Also got one of the two mufflers from same Honda on the Savage. It's a "pea-shooter" looking pipe and looks/sounds good, having had most of the baffling ratted out of it with thirty years of corrosion. A rejet is coming, but it doesn't run horribly for now. Just gotta richen it up a bit.

I currently have ,,, Honda? aftermarket mirrors, as the ones that came with the bike were good only for looking at my shoulders and elbows  >:(
I also have chrome steel grips, which look very mean but aren't as uncomfoprtable as I feared.
What I'm after is a pair of ox-eye indicators (as Kropatchek has)
OR
a pair of mirrors such as these

but until I change the grips I'm not even buying any more... I actually have more bits that I could ever fit on the bike !!!  ;D
