Title: k+n ? Post by tfrawg75 on 03/11/06 at 13:24:26 I was debating on getting a k+n air filter since it is only about $20 more. I have a jardine exhaust and mixture screw 2 1/2 turns out also one size bigger pilot jet and 152.5 main jet. My question is if u guys thought I would be fine or if I will need to do more to the carb once it gets more airflow? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks |

Title: Re: k+n ? Post by Steve530 on 03/11/06 at 15:28:28 From what I've read here, a lot of people are running that combo. It will probably be ok, but you'll should check your spark plug. BTW, you can get the K&N drop in for about $36 form Permformance International. Lowest price I've seen. |

Title: Re: k+n ? Post by giom-650 on 03/13/06 at 13:09:11 I put the K&N in. It has much better seals than the stock filter, so I suspect it will keep the dirt out. There was a slight improvement in acceleration, but nowhere near the SuperTrapp upgrade difference. Do it. :D |

I must say I notice a huge difference in acceleration, and it seems like the engine just runs "easier" because it can breathe better. |
