Title: Re: Ed L's forward control kit Post by Ed_L. on 03/02/06 at 15:53:58 Thanks for the compliment. Need a better band saw to tackle any more, still have the designs and some aluminium plate left so anything is possible. darn, they look better than the set I'm using. |
Title: Re: Ed L's forward control kit Post by Banger on 03/03/06 at 05:38:42 Did this require some modification of the pulls on the controls? Longer shift linkage/brake rod? Nice looking work, Ed. Might have you make a set of these for my Zook one day, if you ever get up to it! Regards, Banger ======= |
Title: Re: Ed L's forward control kit Post by Jim_R on 03/03/06 at 06:14:45 yeah he had to extend the shift linkage and the brake as well. very nice job and they look great. did u have to cut the motor mount tubes also due to the extra thickness of the plate? |
Title: Re: Ed L's forward control kit Post by DangMan on 03/20/06 at 10:03:39 I just came to think of.... what did you do with the sidestand switch ? Did you sort it or ? |
Title: Re: Ed L's forward control kit Post by clueless on 03/20/06 at 11:12:33 Got rid of sidestand switch. Followed wiring up under seat, cut and shorted. Don't miss it at all. |

Title: Re: Ed L's forward control kit Post by necropsy on 03/20/06 at 14:47:31 A well respected and seasoned HD rider died in our neck of the woods last year. Cause of death? Failed to put his kickstand up...... Made a left turn and BLAMO!!! Remove the switch if you like, just remember to put that sidestand up before you roll. |
Title: Re: Ed L's forward control kit Post by clueless on 03/20/06 at 17:50:07 I guess I am an old F-rt. This is the only scooter I've ever owned that had a side stand switch.....that I can remember. |
