Title: Cafe racer project
Post by Mambo on 02/22/06 at 10:54:32

Hi, I'm starting a Cafe Race Savage project and I'm wondering what could be the best carb/exhaust for it... any idea?

There is nothing like a NEW CARB KIT  to perk things up. ;D

A new header pipe & muffler will also go a long way to add power and looks...Supertrapp or similar tunable muffler. ;)

(...........I know, I am shameless in promoting myself)

Aye.  Lancer does self-promote a bit but I think he treats us fairly too.  Personally, I like having someone "in the community" who is here regularly and supports what he sells.

One of Lancer's 38mm slide valve carbs and a 38mm i.d. pipe such as a Raask will bring You good gains.

RAASK pipes are great (I've installed one on my wife's Savage) but they are not very "café racer style" like
I'm sure some Supertrap or Devil exhaust will do a nice job... but will not fit for a "café racer"
