Title: Seeking Advice
Post by L40Thumper on 02/12/06 at 13:26:35

Hello,
I'm new here and really considering a new 06 Savage for the wife and I as a second bike.
We both drive and now want two bikes, because neither wants the back seat for any length of time.
Our 1 bike now is a 2005 Vulcan 750. Would the Savage be a good bike to ride along side the Vulcan?
Real world driving, 55 most of the time, 65 sometimes, 75 once in a while for short duration. We'd switch back and forth for weekend rides so we don't want matching Vulcans.
Thanks in advance for experienced answers driving the 650 Savage.

It would make a nice pair - now in all fairness you would be encouraged ... nay required , to pipe, rejet, and trim that white spacer so it could show that 750 a thing or two :)

awsome partner for the 750, i ride my s40 70,75 mph. all the time with no problems. when i ride with most of my friends they for the most part have harleys and big metric bikes and i have no problem keeping up . and in the mountain rodes i can usually kick butt.

My neighboro and i rode many miles together,He on his volcan 750 and me on the savage. In the 750cc class the volcan is king in many ways, like the savage. Simplicity meets uncapped performance. Now he rides a concours.
If your after a reliable cruiser for your wife the savage will do the job.
