Title: Rejet Carb?
Post by Creator_11 on 02/03/06 at 13:58:21

Hey guys, its been awhile since I posted. Long story short I put a screaming eagle on my savage, didn't rejet the carb and I blew one of the rings on the engine and I'm not finally getting to fixing it.

My question is how do I go about rejetting the carb, or what would eb the easiest route to take. Is there any jet kits out there, I've seen the dynojet kit but its for a 95 savage and up.

I have an 1988 savage.

Any input is greatly appreciated cause I don't want to run too lean anymore once I get the engine fixed.

To be on the safe side go one size larger on the main and pilot jet, and and keep the needle clip on the center slot.
Review the tuning procedures for the low, mid and high throtle ranges.

Be absolutely sure that the carb is perfectly clean inside all passages so that it will respond properly when you adjust it.
