I would like to replace the rear fender on my savage with a different (rounder end) like the sportster fender. Any ideas - and how much difficulty am I looking at?

i think it looks good the way it is ;)...but i think the sporty fender is a little wider because the stock tire is a 150,im to lazy to go measure both bikes, but i think it would work with a little metal work.

Looks good Ike. I mounted signals to rear fender also. I didn't see a tail light. Side mount or just not put back yet?

Don't know if sluggo reads everthing but just like his rear fender on his bike. Is the fender a rework of the stock unit? Saw a pic of his bike in Motorcycle art column this site. In fact am going to copy and turn this little bike into a single really soon. Les

Chop it up! I did mine two years ago and really improved the looks. I would recommend the removal of the rear seat to anyone who doesn't have a wife to remind them how much she liked riding with you after you do this.

If you go to John Ds' site I think you may see my chop job, look under the Rooster Rear End.
