Title: Kirby supercharger
Post by Jim_R on 01/11/06 at 20:17:45

Anyone ever heard of using a kirby vacuum motor as a turbo for a motorcycle?  I have heard its been done in the past.  Seems like all u would need is a place to mount it near the belt, a font pulley welded to the kirby, and maybe an adjustable jet that was posted earlier.

I just can find any info on the topic.  Seems like it would be fun if it worked.  No oil tap required.

Wait a min..... If you cut the cord off ,remove the armeture, Kirkys drive a belt..If it were run backwards driven by the original belt and the bag removed with a hose hooked up to the carb inlet, larger jetting... It might work !!! If you could mount it !!!   But I wouldnt be cought dead riding it   hehehehehehehLOLOLOL

haha I heard old harley davidson guys used to do it lol.
There is another turbo called an aerodyne turbo that doesnt require oil or water to cool it.  But even if that worked u would still have to worry about fuel management issues.  I thought it was pretty funny too, too bad it didnt work and u could hide it haha.

Oh my sides are killing me, haven't had that good a laugh in a long time. Had a vision of a Kirby bolted onto the side of an engine like some type of weird air scoop.  :o  ;) :o ;)
