Title: kickstand Post by RadarORiley on 09/07/05 at 09:46:34 Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity of the kickstand? Mine seems to flip up with the least presure, I mean, someone leaning over it to look at tank or fill gas tank will sometimes cause it to fold. I sure would hate to ding my bike it there is an adjustment we could do to correct it. I've noticed it more lately, but it has always been sensitive. |

When it's down, it should be slightly forward too, so I'd check & see if there's some road crud, mud or something in that gap where it stops. If not, maybe filing out that gap a bit should let the stand go forward more. Mine's fallen over a couple of times from pushing the gas tank back on & once from just waxing it. |

Good idea, I didn't think of that. Mine has 2 springs so all probably do. Could be that one fell off or they're just worn out. |
Title: Re: kickstand Post by Kropatchek on 09/08/05 at 02:19:59 To be on the safe side I always park in first gear, move the bike forward, and on the sidestand. This way it(the bike) cannot move forward and backward movement is stopped by the sidestand. Greetz Kropatchek ;D |
