Title: Preload adjustment Post by jrm8486 on 08/08/05 at 16:59:23 I would like to lower my bike about 1 to 1 1/2 in. If I move the preload lower will this give me anything, If not any sugestions as long as its not to radical. |
Title: Re: Preload adjustment Post by CHRIS on 08/08/05 at 17:16:27 If you lower the preload it will give you a more softer ride, i'm not sure that it will lower the bike anymore than the fact that your weight will drop the bike down. This would affect the handling of the bike also. Not sure if you can drop the forks through the triple clamp or not, I know you can on crotchrockets, but never had any request to lower a cruiser. |
Title: Re: Preload adjustment Post by jrm8486 on 08/08/05 at 17:31:59 Just trying to lower the back, years ago you could buy a kit that would more the lower shock mount back about 1 to 2 in. But the kit was only for the old CB hondas. |
