Thinking about adding a bike-mate for the Savage - a Kawasaki Concours. Since there are so many motorcycle knowledge people on this board I thought I would ask for insights and comments on the Concours here as well as on Kawasaki boards. Thanks in advance for any observations offered.

Just looking at the specs -- 1 liter 4-cyl, 7.5 gal. fuel, 600#, full fairing, detachable bags -- I would venture that you plan on a road trip and wish somewhat more comfort than the Savage offers. Again, just looking at the specs, I would be tempted by the same bike -- looks extremely civilized.

If i am correct - it is an wolf in a ship skin. The engine is ZX10 or very close to it. The bike handles very good. Excellent choyce for long fast trips. Just don't dump it - very expensive.

From what I've heard & read, the Concours has a loyal following from lots of high mileage owners. There are a few Concours forums out there. Jon, one of our members (or former members?) got a good deal on a Concours. I think they came out the same year as our Savages. 8)
