Hey - does anyone know what kind of seat this is on the red savage on this site? I really like it.

Ummmmmm.....What site?

I assume you tried to post a link...you need to click on the icon above your message  box, that looks like a blue globe, and insert the link between the 2 sets of URL brackets.

cheers

Maybe he means the red Savage on the logo at THIS site.

Looks stock to me.  ;)

Sorry - yes, I mean the seat on the savage on the suzukisavage.com website. I don't think it's stock - it doesn't look like any that I've seen. Thanks for your help.

It looks to me like he had the regular seat pans reupholstered to spec.   They do look nice.   I think they call the style pillow seats or something like that.

In case you've not noticed yet, the replacement seat issue is a common issue for the Savage.  Search this site for seat, and you'll see.

Button tuft. Pain in the butt to make, even harder to keep clean. Mildew LOVES to form and grow under the buttons.

Ah, yes...hard to keep clean but they sure do sit better than the stock seat.  This style always seems "fluffier" to me...Even though my seat is better now (after the seat mod), I still want something better.  I wonder how a custom re-do like this would compare to the gel seat/pads that are available.  Anyone have any ideas?

Since the 2-piece Savage gel seat has been discontinued, I'm now convinced I'll go for the spring solo.  I don't want the 1-piece S40 gel seat.

But you got to admit it does give the bike style!  ;D

Hey - did anyone ever find out what bike this seat is off of from the red savage on the main page of this site? I really like it and would like to change mine. Thanks.

You might check with Buttbuffers, they do custom seats with gel foam inserts. I am seriously thinking about having them do mine, the qouted price was $135.00

I like the stock seat that came with my 05 boulevard does anyone know if you can have this seat stuffed to make it softer?

If you are looking for a gel insert try geltecproducts.com, they have gel seat pads shaped for a bike seat ( 11x14 I think) and priced at about $80.  One of the best deals out there.
