I know most of you have seen the photos of my bike. Some even like the exhaust...well, it was too loud. Still have the exhaust, but I welded in a 5 inch slip in "stick stopper" baffle. At cruise, my bike now sounds like a 1950s, water cooled, two stroke, SuperFasTwin.

Yeah, an antique EVINRUDE... :-[

think of it this way--now the boating guys cant laugh at how your bike sounds :-/

Hope it starts easier than the old evinrude I grew up with. The only way I could get that outboard started was to stand on the stern of the boat, hold on to the starter rope and fall over backwards into the boat while pulling. A 35hp with no electric starter was a real nightmare. Ended up that the boat sunk, still is on the bottom of the bay, best place for it :D. Ed L.

With the choke on one notch it blows out a big black cloud like an old outboard...guess I should change the air filter one of these days (it IS a 1998 after all).

Since you mention it Ed, it IS getting a little hard to start. Probably time to change the plug as well. Good thing I switched to Champions or Autolites. $1.88 for 2 at Wal-mart... stock NGK is $3.05 a piece at work.

Well, SOMEONE has to screw the bike up... ;) Guess I'm elected.

Anyone have some Evinrude or Johnson stickers to spare? If it sounds like one, I ought as well badge it as one... besides, there actually was a Johnson Motorcycle for awhile (Iver Johnson). One more way to torture know it all customers.
