My buddy Dave just purchased a used 01 Harley wideglide with custom paint from the factory. It is #15 of only 100 made. Kind of looks like a jumbo savage to mee ;D

Da Queen has a custom paint job -- she has the only existing Savage with that paint. WD has a custom paint job, right down to the rims. That Wideglide does not have a custom paint job mo matter what the Marketing people claim.

In truth, that's my main complaint about most American made bikes today. I think they're more than a little overpriced and I'll get a better value elsewhere.

Like I've stated before, If you bought it off a shelf, It aint custom! But... I guess according to this definition, It is custom. I mean Harley orderd it to be made to their specs right. Specs different from any other factory paint. Only 100 made. Call it what you want its nicer paint than I could do in my barn. Tell you what. If I hit a scratchy tomorrow, I would have about 3 just like it in my garage. ;)

Yeah this is a Savage website ... and the Savage is a motorcycle ... so the people here are interested in motorcycles generally, not only the Savage ... and to quote the immortal Jeff Spicolli of Fast Times at Ridgemont High when asked by teacher Mr. Hand why he was eating in class on Hand's time ... "Well isn't it our time Mr. Hand? And surely there's nothing wrong with a little feast on our time!"
So eat up Goose! The Savage is a great Bike ... but not the only one on the table!
Now the staggered over/under exhaust of the Glide pic'd above looks sweet ... anyone ever try a one-into-two exhaust set up on a Savage?

Two exhausts. Maybe if you can fit a 650 KTM head on the Savage, then you have 2 pipes. :P
