;DJust thought of somethin' ... here in Newfoundland there's a saying; "Watch yer Bobber" ... which translates as; "pay attention", or "watch your behaviour" ... comes from fishing. In Newf-speak, a "bobber" is one of those little red & white floats that a fisherman would use on his fishing line to indicate by a "bobbing" motion in the water that a fish had taken the bait ... not paying attention to the bobber might mean that you could loose the fish, i.e. "screw up".
Sorry, I digress ...

'course, here in Maine, that little red and white plastic fishing device is a "bobbah".  Sometimes, it's coupled with imitation bait, fondly referred to as a "lu-ah" (lure).

The letter R is removed from such extraneous places and reserved for words like "idear", or names like Brendar and Donnar and Lindar.

And to stay on task...great pick, Sluggo!  There's nothing better to look at than pics of Savages!  My bike pics on Webshots continue to have a high number of hits every week, too.

We use red & white bobbers down here too. Reckon if ya tied one of them little bells on it, you would not have to 'watch your bobber' and then could take a nap until your 'dinner bell' rang? :)

That's how I fish...cast, take in the slack, clip a miniature cowbell to the rod tip. When the bell rings, remove the bell and reel in dinner. I'm lazy.  :D

I use the bobber on the shallow fish... and the bell on the deep fish.

If I'm hungry for cat... a little bobber on the surface isn't giong to work, especially when napping on the bank in the warm sun, waiting for the cat to take in the bait.

Mmm.... now I'm hungry for cat fish, thanks ya'll ;D
