Maybe we can just go with an OT in the header.

i think i said this in another post,

just post what you want, if nobody replies, nobody cares.  ::)

no harm, no foul.

we like to keep is simple around here.

the way i get of topic is by starting.  i was riding my savage today and was thinking..............  that covers the m/c aspect of the post and lets me go where i want.

some work, some don't.  i've bombed before, i'll bomb again.i'm an entertainer. to bad ole cedric came up with it first..
sluggo the entertainer has a certain ring to it.

AFAIAC,  Rubber Side Down is free for all.

However, if they did decide to have a non-riding B.S.ing, how ya feeling, what beer do you drink, what's your favorite... blond, redhead or brunette section, I'd suggest they call the Roadhouse.

But really, I don't think they need to divvy up things anymore than they have.  There's some boards that split hairs on topical sections until there's 30 sections.

Agree with gitarzan, don't split-up the board in too many sections.

Agree with Kropatchek, don't split-up the board in too many sections.

Too many dif section make it tuff to check them all out.

Got to agree on this one, KISS. Keep It Simple/Single. too many topic areas get confusing. If nobody answers a thread it dies a quick death. ;)

The multiple message forums for each topic is needful *IF* you get too many users on the forum.  Which happens *IF* you try to cater to everyone.

I am here because this forum is for the Savage.  I do not have to search thru hundreds of messages to find the two concerning the motorcycle that I have.

If it expands to other models and makes it will then need more areas of discussion.  But it would not matter to me because I'll be gone; moved over to another Savage Only forum; even if I have to start it myself.

So, IMNSHO, no, we do not need an off topic area.  IMO this *IS* the off-topic area -- any actual technical threads get duplicated or moved to Technical for safe keeping.

I know I don't have a Savage but I'm very interested in them and enjoy the site very much, and I hope I've been able to make valuable contributions only mentioning my KLX occasionally.

I think that you've done fine, myself.  You're technical info and ideas are an asset to this group (and others) and your KLX is a thumper.  It's inclusion in the forum also allows comparison to the Savage....

And I suppose, that some might call my post about a flooded VW camper to be OT, but it was intended to show how some common issues with internal combustion engines relate to the Savage engine.
