Title: One happy camper :o)
Post by DangMan on 02/14/05 at 11:47:01

I just have to shout this out  :D

It is not possible to registrate new Savages in Denmark from 01-06-2005 cause of some stupid EU law or something  ??? (Thanks EU...) And there is only one new left ! And i want a new one  8) ill get to the point, ive just talked with the bank and they are willing to lend me the money... here in denmark bikes and cars are fu***** expensive cause of a 180% tax, so its not something one just goes out to buy... now im wandering again  :o Bottom line is that the last new Savage in Denmark is mine mine MINE  ;D

Could you lucky Dangman be a bit clearer about why you cannot register any more Savages in Denmark?  ???
Are H-Ds still registerable?  >:( If I were you, I wouldmove out of there as soon as I can...  8) maybe the next move will be to prohibit regsitrating ANY motorcycle... :o
Come over to Chile, it's hot, sunny, short winters with no snow, and gorgeous wine, fruit and salmon....  :o
plus, you can registar ANY  ;D bike you want, provided it  is new... ;D
Ride safe (and warm  ;) )

The reason why is that from that date a new law from EU takes over and a whole lot of bikes cannot be registred in the whole of EU, there are many on that list  >:(

It sounds like heaven over there, maby ill blow this popcikel and go overthere  8)

NB: EU = European Union

you forgot why.  i understand they will prohibit the m/c's  but what is the reason given.  and do you have a list of machines.

I just wanted to give it a go ones more, and bingo, in the first shoot there it was  ;D
I dont know how many of the bikes that they will retune or what they will do to make them more clean, but the Savage is not one of them by the moment !
Its not a complete list, but a list over who have what bikes left !

I recently read an article in Cycle World that stated that all bikes over 125cc are not legal in Vietnam.  Nothing but dumpty little bikes to traverse the rough countryside.  But, most everyone over there seems to have a bike.  Glad us idiots in America can have whatever size we want, hail to the Boss Hoss, with all it's 350 cubic inch glory.

I hate to brake the bad news and hopefuly I heard wrong, but something similar is going to happen here in USA. What I heard is that all the bikes  after 20.. year have to be either water cooled or must have an oil cooler. In this moment Phoenix PD doesn't buy KZ1000p any more. The word is they will be using BMW and HD.

Remember that Kyoto Treaty that some of us didn't sign as we felt it was to restrictive? Well, there ya go...pollution causes global warming, motorcycles pollute a fair bit for their size, ergo, ban the bikes.

The treaty goes into effect today. Now you can't have one of  the most enjoyable, fuel efficient bike out there.

I wish more Americans could hear this tale...glad you got the Thumper...good riding to you all...

No one is going after the primary cause of pollution.

Sluggo: Jan, Feb, Mar is clasified as winter months here, so most insuranses (if u gotta type-o, the do it like a man  ;D ) does not cover these months unless u pay extra for it, and we have just have had a blissard last but not least the roads are almost glassed with salt, not a first ride for my new baby  ;)

SavageThumper: I havnt take a picture of it yet  ??? But onec ill get it home ill do, like a mother and her newborn baby  ;D, its a speciel feeling to know that the bike only have ridden 1,6KM, ive thought af taking a picture of the counter, just to have it  ;D
