Don't buy it, it SUCKS. I bought one and expected it to be a least as bright as the stock bulb, but it is BARELY visible in daylight conditions. I bought the exact same one from the same guy off Ebay.My advice is not to buy it.

I use the BackOFF! Brakelight Modulator (http://www.ridesafer.com/main.php3?primNavIndex=1&mainURL=%2Fstore%2Findex.php3%3Fcat%3D275535) and have been very satisfied with it.

personally, i don't trust any cage to see my signal no matter how bright.  >:(

i know too may guys that have bought these items and are astounded that the cage didnt see the signal. my response  they didn't even see you let alone a signal.  REMEMBER THIS.  YOU ARE INVISIBLE.   when stopped for a light or turn always remain in gear with clutch engaged eyes on mirror. this way you can move quickly if a problem develops.  darn i hate being the voice of reason  :D  normally i'm the wild and crazy guy.

I agree Sluggo but if I can relatively easily increase the likelihood that they'll see me, I'll take that as gravy.

I've the Tailblazer, http://www.ridesafer.com/main.php3?primNavIndex=1&mainURL=%2Fstore%2Findex.php3%3Fcat%3D275535 and it's great.  You can set it to extra bright or normal and it's nothing more than changing the bulb.

I also have the spinner you mentioned.  Not only is it illegal in most states, it looks ridiculous once you actually see in on the bike.  It's like wearing clownshoes.

I purchased the helmet light on ebay, but it is available from CycleGadgets. I love it. The LED replacement  bulb is much brighter than the 1157 it replaces. It also does not spin when braking, it has addtional leds that kick in for braking to make the taillight much brighter. On the back of the helmet you attach a strip of LEDs that also light up when you apply the brake. This gives you 2 brake lights instead of one.
