Title: Shot in the dark.....
Post by savagethumper on 08/28/04 at 07:38:33

Last Sunday, near ,my home I saw a gentleman riding a recently purchased Savage( still had dealer plates).  It was dark green, and looked to be a 2002 or newer.  I live in Venus, Tx, and if you happen to be a member of this forum, please reply.  I have only seen 2-3 Savages around here.  Not too common around here.

Were there any other years, besides 2000, when the Savage was green?

I've been wanting to know what colors go with what years...did some research...results in new topic.

Sunny, there's a nice yellow Savage in Cleburne, I've seen a couple times.  It's a kid that rides it, though.  Looks like he's barely 16.

The only Savage I have ever seen is mine.  Go figure, so far I love it.

I know of 5 Savages in the Asheville area, but I have seen others go by.  In fact, I've been known to turn around and try to find them, but they are so fast that I can't catch them.

I do know that all of them on the showroom floor disappear every year...they're out there.

Just ran into a fellow Savager this afternoon -- a 95 red.  Was a good looking bike.  Gave the rider the address for the forum.  I think he was in high school.  Was fun to see another Savage in "my backyard".

My Savage is an 03 and it is green.  If you click on the pic in my profile, I think you get the big picture.

I love the color of mine!!!

8)My '03 is the green as well ... some sites identify it as "teal green", while others call it "sea-foam green" ... anyhoo, it's a nice greeny-blueish hue ... unusual, but unique.
Here in St. John's, Newfoundland, besides my LS650, a friend/neighbour has a retired, decrepid old 87 (recently replaced with a new '04 VS800) and I know of one other old one currently being restored and I saw one other at the Toy's for Tots Run last Sept. ... red with drag-bars, so it must've been a late 80's model ... oh yeah, the local 'Zuki dealership had a purple '04 on the floor last April which isn't there any more, so it's probably around somewhere. This year's Toy's for Tots is next Sunday (Sept. 12th) if I see any Savage's, I'll take some pics!

Hey Perry:

I am in New Brunswick, and we have a "Toys for Tots" run next sunday as well. I wanted to participate, but the closest one is in Sackville, which is a 3 hour drive from me. It's a great run, I hear...Have fun!.....cheers......Michael

Our Toy run is next Sunday and I'd like to participate, but I don't feel like I am a good enough rider yet.  What is involved in the toy run?

The Toys for Tots run I went on was simple.  Bring a toy, meet at the start, follow everyone to the finish, and drop the toy off.  Nothing to it.  Fun, and most everybody rode slow.  Almost like a parade in Texas.

Here's another shot in the dark.  This past Sunday, I came across a Savage that was virtually identical to mine.  It was the same Silver/Blue color.  It was a girls bike because it had a flowery looking helmet sitting on the seat.  I was with my family, so I didn't stop, but it was in front of the No Frills Grill and bar in Mansfield Texas.  Anyone in this club belong to this bike????
