Get yourself a portable hole to hold every tool you own....

I'm trying to remember who said it, it was such a great plan for carrying stuff on a bike and it went something like this:

Put all the stuff you want to take with you on the bed, now parse it down to stuff that you absolutely cannot live without. You've done that? Great! Now cut that in half because that's how much room you have.

Even to get something under them! You're talking about some light burns on whatever skin is exposed. This is in comparison to life in a wheel chair because your well meaning buddy tried to make you more comfortable.

Water, even a little bit of it, cools things dramatically. Pour that around them and create shade for them. If you have someone with you who is capable of proper emergency techniques, you can wet the blacktop then put a blanket of some type down before they are repositioned onto it. Most people who have not been trained to do these rolls will do far more damage to their wounded patient trying to perform them than the hot tarmac ever will.

</rant>

+1

Thanks for the suggestions. Gives me some food for thought, for when the time comes when replacement is necessary. Tires are pretty decent right now on the bike I'm picking up today so I'm good for now.

R.F.

Added 2 more pics...

Answer 1: Aluminum wire mesh I found at work... Man, i must have 40 pin holes in my fingers from that.

Answer 2: Right now it is a great cup holder... But i plan on putting a panel with switches. Removing some of the switches from the bars and etc...

Answer 3: My dad bought it in 2004, he died in 2008. That is when i got it. Was in storage for almost 3 years. Just started fixing it up and riding it around June last year. So It had has almost everything new on it.

It goes in for paint in the next week or so. Thinking Gloss black, Silver stripes, glitter flake (in the clear coat) & the Raiders emblems on the sides of the tank.
